The late singer's doctor has been remanded in custody since he was found guilty of involuntary manslaughter.
The doctor convicted of the involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson is due to be sentenced today (29th November).
A jury of 12 men and women unanimously found Dr Conrad Murray guilty following a six-week trial at Los Angeles Superior Court earlier this month.
Prosecutors have asked for Dr Murray to be jailed for a maximum of four years for giving Michael a fatal overdose of the powerful sedative propofol on the day that he died in June 2009.
Dr Murray also faces the possible loss of his medical licence.
Michael Jackson died on the eve of his comeback gigs in London, which were scheduled to take place over 50 nights at the O2 Arena.
