Rita Ora On Staying Professional With Beyonce: "She's My Boss' Wife!"

The 'R.I.P.' singer also opened up about the moment she received a call to go and meet her future boss Jay-Z.

Rita Ora has opened up about US superstar Beyonce and says its strange to think the 'Love On Top' star is her boss Jay-Z's wife.

The 'Radioactive' singer has praised Beyonce for being "incredibly humble", but admits she often has to remind herself to stay professional because of their business ties.

Rita was signed up by Jay-Z for his Roc Nation a number of years ago, and opened up about her relationship with Beyonce to Event magazine this week.

"Beyonce is this massive star, but she's incredibly humble," Rita told the publication. "But it's weird because even though I love her, she's my boss' wife."

The 'R.I.P.' star also spoke about the moment she received the call to fly out to New York and meet with Jay-Z for the first time, admitting she almost had a "nervous breakdown" after she arrived.

"I was in Boots buying contact lens solution and my mobile went off. It was Jay-Z's partner at Roc Nation asking me what I was up to," Rita recalled. "He asked it I'd been to America and I said, 'No'.

"I practically had a nervous breakdown when I arrived in New York because I was being taken straight to the Roc Nation Christmas party," she explained. "I was wearing an old t-shirt and leggings, I had barely any make-up on. 

I was unbelievably nervous, especially when this big crowd parter and I was face to face with Jay-Z,' Rita added.

The UK singer-songwriter achieved huge success with her debut album 'ORA' which spawned a string of successful singles including 'Party & BS (How We Do)' and 'Shine Ya Light'.

Rita Ora is now working on her second studio album and has promised to cause "a bit of a stir" by being more honest on the new record.
