Lauren Jauregui assured fans her James Cordon performance was the real deal. "I don’t lip sing lol go ahead and come to one of my shows to find out if you’d like. I train."
Lauren Jauregui has responded to claims that she was lip synching during a recent performance on James Cordon's The Late Late Show. Lauren, who just released her second non-Fifth Harmony solo single "More Than That", stopped by the late night show to deliver a sultry performance of the new song. You can watch the video at the top of the page.
The performance went well but Lauren decided to set the record straight when a (now deleted) tweet claimed that the singer's audio "was recorded in a studio" and that the "feed was way too clear."
Lauren made it clear that she does not "lip sing" and that her feed was clear because she had the "best in the biz" on the mix.
"Hi, hello, I don’t lip sing lol go ahead and come to one of my shows to find out if you’d like. I train. ✨ thank youuu❤️💫 and btw the feed was way too clear cause I had the BEST IN THE BIZ on that mix," Lauren wrote on Twitter.
There are a number of different ways artists handle live performances, so it's understandable that someone might wonder whether Lauren's flawless late night performance was a pre-record. However, Lauren cleared things up swiftly and assured fans that what they were hearing was the real deal.
"More Than That" is the follow up single to "Expectations", which dropped in late 2018. Lauren is expected to release her debut album later this year and fans can likely expect even more flawless performances from the singer.
