The Jonas Brothers worked through their issues in their new documentary...
It's official. The Jonas Brothers are actually back. If you've been anywhere near the internet recently, you will have seen that all three of the Jonas boys have not only reunited but they've also released a brand new single 'Sucker'. 'Sucker' sees the group update their iconic 00s sound and the song slaps. Not only that but the music video stars Nick, Joe and Kevin's partners (Priyanka Chopra, Sophie Turner, Danielle Jonas).
And the comeback single already on track to be a huge hit. 'Sucker' has so far topped iTunes, Spotify and Apple Music charts in the US and around the world. Given the song's immediate success and the reception to their return, it's hard to believe that the Jonas Brothers ever split. Things weren't always so harmonious in the band though and now they've revealed why they split and what brought them back together.
When the Jonas Brothers originally split in 2013, their representative claimed that it was because their was a "deep rift within the band" and now the boys have opened up about it. Speaking to Elvis Duran, Nick said: "When it ended it was not good. It was a challenging couple of years, rebuilding as a family, and I think in our minds it seemed like it would be impossible to do this ever again".
Nick previously revealed to Good Morning America that he initiated the split: "In a nutshell, I said, ‘Look, I feel like we've had some complications within the group for a long time without addressing them." Joe later stated in a Reddit AMA that it was so bad he "was seeing a therapist" and "wasn’t on speaking terms" with his brothers. He also said he was "mad" at Nick over the split.

Thankfully things are good between them now. Nick revealed to Elvis Duran that it was their new documentary that brought them back together. "It started about a year ago. Initially it was about filming a documentary. We wanted to tell our story, where we came from, what happened on our journey back then together." We're so ready for this.
Nick then added: "We just started to spend a lot of time together, filming again. I think we realised that there was a magic when we were together that we missed." He also revealed that he initiated the reunion: "I sort of began the conversation about doing this again and after a few conversations they came around to it."

Joe also spoke to Elvis about their split. "Yeah. It took some time. Last year for us talking through those things as a band but especially as a family. We had to work through and understand what we were going through when we were that young. For so many years we put it under the rug. Said we're done."
Kevin then stated that being on camera for the documentary made them open up to each other. "It was insane to kind of be forced into therapy in some occasions, which was great because we had to have real conversations and not hold back so it worked out for us in a good way."
As it stands the Jonas Brothers are yet to announce when their documentary will be released but we shall update you as soon as they do.
