The 'R.I.P.' singer has been picked ahead of the Bajan star after impressing during the castings.

Rihanna will no longer play the villain role in the upcoming Fast And The Furious 6 sequel after the film's producers decided to cast Rita Ora for the role.

The 'We Found Love' singer had been tipped for the part earlier this year, but apparantly her busy schedule has resulted in her pulling out of the movie.

"Rihanna impressed movie bosses with her role in Battleship. But schedules didn't work out and Rita really shone during castings," an source told The Sun. "They loved her look and her attitude."

The 'Shine Ya Light' singer will appear alongside the likes of Vin Diesel, Paul Walker and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson in the film – which is expected to be released in the summer of 2013.

Rita will make her acting debut in the film, and Rihanna is also expected to be back on the big screen next year in the new comedy The End Of The World with Seth Rogan.

Meanwhile, Rita will be back on stage in London next month when she appears at the Jingle Bell Ball at the O2 Arena.

The even takes place over 8th and 9th December and will feature performances from such stars as Bruno Mars, Pink, One Direction, Calvin Harris and The Wanted.
