The 'Change Your Life' singer says the girls have helped her through some difficult times recently.
Little Mix star Perrie Edwards has opened up the band's relationship and says the girls have helped her through some difficult times in recent months.
The 'DNA' singer also says the girl band try not to read stories written about their personal lives, and make sure they just laugh about any lies printed about them.
"The best part about being in a group is having each other for support," Perrie told the Daily Mirror. "The girls are like my sisters and always look our for me.
"The have helped me through what has happened," the girl band star explained. "My nan has bone cancer and it's been recurring over the past few years.
"She was unwell before The X Factor but she was always rooting for me through the show.
"She got a bit better but has been unwell again recently," Perrie continued. "It's been really hard but she is a little fighter."
Perrie and boyfriend Zayn Malik's relationship has hit the headlines in recent months, but the 'Wings' star says she doesn't take press rumours to heart.
"I try not to let what I read in the paper get to me," she added. "But I still read things and I think, 'That didn't happen'.
"But as long as me and the rest of the girls know it's not true, that's what matters. We laugh about things and refuse to let it get to us."
Last week the band confirmed that US rapper Missy Elliott will feature on their next single, describing it as a dream come true to collaborate with the 'Get Ur Freak On' star.
