The 'DNA' four-piece say they want to echo One Direction's huge success stateside next year.
Little Mix have revealed they are hoping to crack America in 2013 and are keen to follow in the footsteps of One Direction by being successful in the tough US music market.
The 'Wings' girl band says One Direction's success over the past year has made them more "confident" about launching their music stateside, fresh from releasing new album 'DNA'.
"It makes us feel more confident because One Direction are the first band to do well overseas in ages," band member Perrie Edwards revealed to the Daily Star this week.
"We both know how to have a good time but are serious about our music," Leigh-Anne Pinnock explained, when asked about the similarities between the bands. "To follow in 1D's footsteps would be amazing."
She explained: "We hope to go to the US next year."
The 'Cannonball' four-piece also teased what fans can expect from their debut album 'DNA', which was released this week (19th November).
"We wrote half the album with amazing people like Rihanna's songwriter Esther Dean, TMS and Diplo," Jade Thirlwall teased. "We have a lot of sides to us and the album reflects how versatile we can be."

Perrie, who is currently dating One Direction star Zayn Malik, recently told Capital that her favourite song from the boy band's new album is their recent hit single 'Little Things'.
Little Mix' debut album 'DNA' is out now and the girls begin their first headline UK tour in February 2013.
