Ed Sheeran has revealed that he speaks to Sir Elton John at least once a week.

"He's overseas at the moment but left me an answerphone message. He said I've smashed it so hard and good luck."
Ed went on to reveal that he is glad he can talk openly to his mentor as the pair have their sights set on similar goals.
"It's always good to hear from Elton. He's a lovely guy and is very passionate about the music. He wants me to be huge all over the world, and I'm up for that too," he added.
Ed received nods in the Best British Single, British Breakthrough, Best Male and Best Album categories at next month's ceremony which takes place on the 21st February at London's O2 Arena.
