We're just DAYS from one of the hottest and most-talked about awards ceremonies on the planet - but who'll be taking to the stage?
In the early hours of Bank Holiday Monday, the biggest musicians in the world will be going head-to-head to try and take home as many iconic Moonmen as possible.
Yes, it's time again for the MTV Video Music Awards!

Beyoncé, Drake and Adele are among the names looking to add to their trophy cabinet - but, if you've ever seen the VMAs before, you'll know that the actual ceremony itself is a spectacle to behold!
Whether it's outrageous shade ("Miley, what's good?") or controversial moments, the MTV VMAs are truly unforgettable - especially the show-stopping performances!
While all the show's performers for Sunday, 28th August, haven't yet been confirmed, there are SO many rumours and wishes floating around about who'll be taking to the stage in New York's Madison Square Garden.

MTV sent out a pretty cryptic Tweet this morning... But what could it mean?! *thinking face emoji*

Well... MTV have reportedly given Kanye West an entire 4 minutes to do whatever he wants. Considering last year he used the MTV VMAs as the platform to launch his 2020 presidential campaign, we genuinely can't predict what he'll get up to this year!
As far as VMAs royalty goes, Britney's definitely up there! She made her debut back in 1999, and has since racked up a mighty 29 nominations, taking home 6 Moonmen. She made the announcement on her social media channels that she'd be taking back to the stage for the first time since 2007 (9 years ago!!), with a rather cryptic message... this could even beat her epic mashup from the Billboard Music Awards earlier this year!
Excited to announce that @ArianaGrande will take the 2016 #VMA stage with @NICKIMINAJ! Don't miss it 8/28. https://t.co/9GMA0dsXT6

It's been over two years since Ariana and Nicki shared a stage to belt out 'Bang Bang', but now they're back to duet 'Side To Side' at this year's VMAs - and we can't WAIT!
Honored to take the #VMAs stage as your video #VANGUARD award recipient LIVE from NYC on August 28! pic.twitter.com/Yk0RMH2ODr
— Rihanna (@rihanna) August 11, 2016
2016 will see bad gal RiRi walk away with the coveted Michael Jackson Vanguard Music Video Award. She's already confirmed she'll be there in person to pick up her Moonman, but what sort of recipient would she be if she didn't add to the VMAs spectacle? We can pretty much guarantee Rihanna will steal the show with a fiery performance, showcasing some of her biggest hits.
@TheChainsmokers will storm the 2016 @VMAs with @halsey: https://t.co/f5yFxcDgQ1 pic.twitter.com/DQkWIM6frY

They've definitely become more credible since their 'SELFIE Song' days, and now The Chainsmokers are making their VMAs debut alongside Halsey to perform their summer collab 'Closer'.
Hunky pop prince Nick Jonas will no doubt be putting the V in VMAs with a steamy performance! GET YOUR ABS OUT!
The next artist to join the 2016 @VMAs stage is... @1Future #VMAs https://t.co/PZ5gjtIiRF

There's gonna be some serious 'Purple Reign' going down in NYC when rapper Future takes to the VMAs stage.
While we don't think anybody can top Miley Cyrus' unforgettable job at presenting last year's awards, so MTV are throwing some pretty big names on stage at Madison Square Garden this weekend - including Kim Kardashian!
After the success of Fifth Harmony strutting their stuff live on the Red Carpet last year, there's gonna be another VMAs Pre Show for 2016... and it'll be hosted by DJ Khaled! Expect performances one the red carpet from Lukas Graham, Alessia Cara & Jidenna. But if you want more DJ Khaled don't you worry, he'll be staying on as a special correspondent throughout the entire show.
