The 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer says the group's have had an "incredible" year and predicts a great night ahead.
Olly Murs has offered a good luck message to One Direction and The Wanted ahead of the MTV Video Music Awards 2012.
The 'Dance With Me Tonight' singer spoke to Capital FM about the chances of the British stars across the pond at the ceremony in Los Angeles tonight (6th September).
"It's incredible for The Wanted and One Direction to be over there at the VMAs," he confessed. "I mean what an incredible year they've both had as boy groups."
The Xtra Factor host predicts a big fight with both acts going head to head to head in the Best New Artist category at the industry event.
"You know they've got great fan bases across the world, they've both done really well so good luck guys – I wish you all the best," he added. "Have a great night and enjoy yourselves."
Olly spent time with One Direction in the US earlier this year when he joined the band as a support act on their North American arena tour.

The Wanted will be presenting an award on the night and recently confirmed details of their new single 'I Found You'.
