The 'Born This Way' singer thrilled audiences at the hour-long event with two separate performances from her current album.
Lady Gaga received a standing ovation at the Grammy Awards 2011 Nominations in Los Angeles last night (30th November) after both opening and closing the ceremony with performances.
The singer opened the event with a gothic-inspired rendition of her current single 'Marry The Night', taking to the stage dressed in a long black coat complete with skeletal face paint.
She completed with performance with an energetic dance routine after disrobing to reveal a black tuxedo jacket over a bikini and thigh high black boots.
Lady Gaga received three Grammy nominations last night with her second album 'Born This Way' receiving nods for Album of the Year and Best Pop Vocal Album, and single 'You & I' being nominated for Best Pop Solo performance.
After all the nominations were announced Gaga returned to the stage with country duo Sugarland for a piano-led performance of 'You & I'.
"I'm humbled + honored to have a Trinity of nominations from the Grammy's, including Album of the Year for Born This Way. I love u so much," Gaga tweeted after the event.
"Paws Up for our album's being nominated three years in a row. I could never do it without you. Together, we were #BornToBeBrave."
The 54th Grammy Awards are due to take place at the Staples Center In Los Angeles on 12th February, 2012.
