The 'A Team Singer' felt "it was time" to make an appearance in one of his music videos.
Ed Sheeran is filming for his new music video today (30th November) and is set to take a starring role.
The 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' singer is yet to feature in one of his own videos - most famously getting Harry Potter actor Rupert Grint to take the lead in his latest single 'Lego House'.
Earlier today, the Halifax born singer took to his Twitter account to tweet: "Video shoot," before adding: "This is the first of my videos I feature in, I felt it was time."
The 'A Team' singer also joked that there would be an appearance from a Hollywood star on the set.
"Although it features a huge Hollywood megastar. Yes, that's right, we managed to get the cat from Pirates of the Caribbean. Meow," he tweeted.
Meanwhile, Ed is set to perform at Capital FM's Jingle Bell Ball this Sunday (4th December) and admitted to Capitalfm.com that he can't wait to see headline act Jessie J.
