The country pop singer performed her hit single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.
Taylor Swift made her triumphant return to the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 (VMAs) last night with a performance of her huge hit single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.
The 'Love Story' singer has performed at the event several times in the past, but admitted to having a lot of pre-show nerves, and took to the stage at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles backed by a large troupe of dancers.
Taylor wore a striking red and white striped top and black hot pants for her performance of the lead single from her new album 'Red', opening the rendition from a makeshift recording booth on stage before joining her dancers for an energetic show.
The country pop star wrapped up her performance with a big stage dive into the crowd, after getting them all to sing along to the final chorus of 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together'.

Pink also gave a memorable performance at the VMAs yesterday (6th September) when she was lifted into the air on a pair of giant red lips to sing current hit 'Blow Me (One Last Kiss)'.
The 'So What' star recently landed at number one on the Vodafone Big Top 40 with the lead single from her new album 'The Truth About Love', and wore a pair of black sequin pants, a white vest and black braces for her performance.

Taylor Swift is currently preparing to release new album 'Red', after naming the record because of her love for the "brave" and "bold colour", which is due out on 22nd October.
