The 'One Thing' star says he is looking forward to some time to "chill" following the end of the band's US tour.
One Direction star Niall Horan has admitted he was once followed around a shopping mall by 200-300 screaming fans during the band's US tour.
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' star admitted that he has to plan carefully where to spend a day off and is looking forward to some downtime following the conclusion of their North American jaunt.
Speaking about days off, he said: "You have to go about it the right way. Obviously it's not just the case of 'Oh, I'm gonna go to this place for lunch.' You have to think about it for a bit. You can do all the regular things, it just becomes a struggle."
The Irish star went on to recall a particular incident recently where he was mobbed on a shopping trip.
"The other day I wanted to go to Lids to buy a hat when we were in Atlanta," he recalled to MTV News. "And I was in there with two security guys and I got absolutely mobbed in the mall. There were like, two or three hundred girls following me around the shopping center."
Although he admitted it was somewhat "inconvenient" he said it's "all good" as the fans are what makes the group who they are.

"Them kind of things. It's not the most convenient for everyone, but it's all good. It's all a part of what we do. If it wasn't for them, we wouldn't be here," he declared.
Speaking about his days off inbetween the tour and working on the band's new studio album, Niall said he would be "chilling" out in London with friends.
"We've got 10 days off and [I'm] just literally just going to chill," he said. "A couple of my friends are coming to London and we're just gonna chill for the week. We very rarely get time off, so it's good to be able to just relax for a bit. We've been all going since February, really."
The singer recently admitted that the group could have a new single out as early as September with a view to release a new album this year before they head out on a 2013 UK arena tour.
