The 'Boyfriend' singer will be taking up a mentor role with judge LA Reid on Simon Cowell's music reality show.
Justin Bieber has been signed up by Simon Cowell for a mentor role on the new season of The X Factor USA.
The 'Never Say Never' singer was spotted shooting scenes for the show in Los Angeles yesterday (28th August) afternoon and tweeted that he was with judge LA Reid during the day.
"Long day but great day. @LA_Reid @ScooterBraun just like old times! Thanks," he tweeted.
The Canadian star will be offering advice to the show's contestants during the judge's houses phase of the competition.
Yesterday, it was reported that Tinie Tempah had signed up for the same position on the UK version of the series alongside Tulisa Contostavlos.
Earlier this year, music mogul Simon Cowell changed the look of the US reality series when he brought in Britney Spears and Demi Lovato to replace Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul from season one.

The new season of The X Factor USA will premiere on 12th September.
Meanwhile, Justin is currently preparing to head out on his hugely anticipated 'Believe' world tour and posted a message teasing that he was planning something "huge" on the jaunt.
" just came up with the most epic idea. so huge! hyped. we can pull it off....," he wrote.
The tour will head to the UK in February 2013.
