Justin Bieber's Mum Brands Selena Gomez A "Sweetheart" And Calls Break-Up A "Mistake"

The 'As Long As You Love Me' singer and the Disney actress ended their relationship following two years together.

Justin Bieber's mum has been once again speaking about her son and Selena Gomez's relationship, as she admitted she thinks it's a mistake they broke up.

The 'Boyfriend' singer and the Spring Breakers actress ended a near two-year relationship during the end of 2012 and were rumoured to be on and off again for weeks after.

After debuting new song 'Nothing Like Us' for his acoustic album, Justin confirmed the track was penned on the couple's break-up and his mum revealed on the Today show how hard it is to see the pair's romance end.

"You know, I just try and support whatever he's wanting," she declared. "'I think Selena is a sweetheart, and whatever they decide is great. It's tough letting go and letting our kids make the mistakes they need to make."

She also told Radaronline recently how much of a good influence the female star was on her son revealing how much she'd like to see the pair hit it off again.

Meanwhile, representatives for Rihanna have this week been forced to deny claims that the Bajan star and the teen titan were romantically involved during the time he was dating Selena.

A source for the star called such reports as "ridiculous".
