The 'One Time' star is a distant cousin of the Hollywood star according to new research from a family history website.
Justin Bieber is related to fellow Canadian stars Ryan Gosling and Avril Lavigne, according to new findings from family history website Ancestry.com.
The research team tracked the teen singer's family tree back eleven generations and discovered that the Hollywood actor, and star of such films as Drive and The Notebook, is in fact his 11th cousin once removed.
The family connection, which goes back 400 years to some of Quebec's earliest settlers, also claims the 'Boyfriend' singer is 12th cousins once removed with pop punker Avril.
Justin also shares another celebrity connection, as her and Celine Dion are 10th cousins three times removed.
"Discoveries like this are rare, so the fact that some of Canada's top entertainment industry stars are all related is especially fascinating," said genealogist Lesley Anderson. "There's something special about discovering a shared connection, and to be able to go so far back in history to do so is one of the most satisfying aspects of family history research."

Meanwhile, the teen star is currently on his 'Believe' world tour, and was filmed throwing up on stage during the opening night of the jaunt at the end of last month.
Justin put the incident down to a meal he ate consisting of spaghetti and milk, shortly before arriving on stage in Arizona.
