Justin Bieber's girlfriend 'not punched'

Justin Bieber's girlfriend Selena Gomez has denied that she was punched by an angry fan.

 Yesterday Twitter rumours began, suggesting Selena had been punched by a fan after photos surfaced of the singer covering her face, during the paparazzi frenzy outside LA's Maggiano's restaurant for Justin's 17th birthday celebrations.

People reports that the topic #sorryjustin started trending on Twitter and in no time word spread that Gomez was hit by a jealous Bieber fan.

But Selena's rep said there were 'absolutely no truth' to those rumours.
