The 'Skyscraper' singer conducts her first TV interview since she lost her father this week.
Demi Lovato has revealed how her dad was suffering from mental illness as well as cancer before he passed away this month.
The X Factor USA judge conducted her first televised interview with Good Morning America yesterday (27th June) and spoke about how she has been coping.
She explained she was "doing ok" and revealed more about dealing with mental illness to host Robin Roberts.
"It's difficult, I've dealt with mental illnesses but my father also dealt with mental illnesses and he wasn't able to function very well in society," she said.

The singer was estranged from her father, and spoke about their time apart in the chat.
"My father and I didn't have the most ideal relationship," she confessed. "'But, at the end of the day, he's still my dad and I grew up with him and he was a wonderful person."
Simon Cowell was among a host of celebrities offering their condolences to the singer upon hearing the news.
