Adele has cancelled all of her forthcoming live dates and promotional appearances for the rest of 2011.
The 'Rolling In The Deep' star is set to undergo surgery to resolve a throat problem that has plagued her throughout the year.
The cancelled tour dates include Adele's US tour in October and UK dates in November.
"It is with deep regret that Adele has been forced to cancel her remaining live dates and promotional appearances in 2011," her record label XL Recordings said in a statement.
"She is to undergo surgery to alleviate the current issues with her throat and a full recovery is expected. As a result, doctors have ordered her to rest her voice and completely recuperate before looking to schedule any work commitment."
Ticket holders for all cancelled live dates will receive a refund from the point of purchase, the statement added.
