Vanessa Morgan teases new song with Riverdale co-star Drew Ray Tanner

"I’m just so happy & can’t wait to dedicate everyday to being the best mommy I can be."

And now for some good news! Riverdale's Vanessa Morgan has just announced that she's pregnant, and is expecting her first child – a baby boy – with husband Michael Kopech in January 2021.

Taking to Instagram, Vanessa shared photos and videos from her gender reveal party, as well as a video of her ultrasound, with fans.

In a heartfelt caption, she wrote: "Was debating keeping this part of my life hidden but I knew people would see pictures eventually with my belly & I wanted you guys to hear it from me. I do want to keep this chapter of my life private but did want to be the first to share the news."

She continued: "I am overjoyed to be welcoming my baby boy into the world this January. It’s almost like eveything [sic] I thought mattered in this life has completely changed.. We’re here for such a greater purpose and life is so precious. I can’t believe how much growth & strength you’ve already given me as your mom. It’s like God knew I needed you, my angel. The universe works in mysterious ways but always times everything the way it was meant to be."

"Lil one you were made with so much love & already exude a light so strong it warms my belly. Thank you God for this blessing. I’m just so happy & can’t wait to dedicate everyday to being the best mommy I can be. “I’ll love you forever I’ll like you for always as long as I’m living my baby you’ll be 🎶 “- if you know you know #preggers."

Vanessa's friends and co-stars have been flocking to the comments of her Instagram post to congratulate her on the news.

Best friends and Riverdale co-stars Madelaine Petsch and Drew Ray Tanner both commented, writing, "You're gonna be the best mommy I love you!!!!!! So excited" and "can't wait to meet the little guy. Gonna have the best Mom and family. Love you V."

Skeet Ulrich also wrote: "You will be the most incredible mom V", while Hayley Law said: "Congratulations, so wonderful. You have such a kind soul you are going to be an incredible mom."

Vanessa and Michael got engaged back in July 2019. The couple got married in a stunning, small and intimate ceremony back in January 2020. Congrats to the parents to be!
