The 'Talk That Talk' singer confirms that she will take to the stage at the Staples Center in Los Angeles next month.
Rihanna has said she will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles next month.
Organisers have yet to confirm the 'Talk That Talk' star's appearance, but RiRi broke the news when asked whether she would be performing by a fan on Twitter.
The fan wrote: "OMG!! RIHANNA'S GONNA BE PERFORMING AT THE VMAs!!!!!”
To which, Rihanna replied: "P***K YES I WILLLL!!! JUST FOR MY NAVY!!!!"
It is currently not clear what song Rihanna will perform, but with no new single scheduled, there is sure to be speculation she could perform a new song.
Rihanna released her last album 'Talk That Talk' towards the end of 2011. The album featured numerous hit singles, including 'We Found Love' and 'Where Have You Been', but the star has since been focusing on her movie career.
This year's MTV VMAs will also feature a performance from One Direction, who recently announced details of their new single 'Live While We're Young'.
Earlier this month, Pink also confirmed that she would be performing at the VMAs, while Alicia Keys is also set to take to the stage.
The ceremony will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angles on 6th September.
Drake and Rihanna lead the nominations list with five nods, each which includes their collaborative track 'Take Care'.
