The singer will perform the remix live with A$AP Rocky before playing her hit 'We Found Love'.
Rihanna is set to open the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 tomorrow night in Los Angeles with two live performances, it has been announced.
The 'You Da One' singer will kick off the annual awards show with her first performance of the official remix of her US single 'Cockiness', which was unveiled online last night (4th September).
Rihanna will be joined for her set by US rapper A$AP Rocky, who created the remix for her 'Talk That Talk' album track, before she also goes on to perform her Calvin Harris collaboration and former Vodafone Big Top 40 number one 'We Found Love'.
The Bajan pop singer has been nominated for a total of five awards at this year's VMAs, including Video of the Year and Best Pop Video for 'We Found Love' and Best Choreography for 'Where Have You Been'.

Last week Rihanna was back in London working on her new fashion collection for high street chain River Island, before heading out to Paris, France to perform 'Princess Of China' live on stage with Coldplay.
Rihanna will officially release the A$AP Rocky remix of her single 'Cockiness' straight after the Video Music Awards tomorrow evening.
The MTV Video Music Awards 2012 takes places this Thursday 6th September live from the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California.
