The 'Live While We're Young' star talks about his bandmates being a support network for himself.
One Direction star Zayn Malik has seemingly shrugged off any suggestion he would leave the band to become a solo artist after admitting he would have "cracked up" with the pressures of fame had it not been for his bandmates.
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' star apparently told the Daily Star that it iss great to have a group of friends around him who are all experiencing the same things together.
"I would have cracked up and gone home by now. There's defo no way I could have done this as a solo artist," he said.
Zayn continued: "The lads keep me grounded and it's good to know you're not the only person going through everything."
The singer first auditioned for The X Factor as a solo performer before eventually being put with Harry, Niall, Louis and Liam to form the global dominating group.
One Direction are currently on their 2013 'Take Me Home' world tour and this week have been confirmed as the latest additions to Madame Tussauds waxwork museum.
The five-piece will take part in a new tour, which sees the models visiting various countries throughout the world, and will be first unveiled in London next month.
