The 'Heart Skips A Beat' singer says he will always prioritise his music career over any television opportunities.

Olly Murs claims he would never prioritise his career as a television presenter over his love for recording music.

The 'Please Don't Let Me Go' singer co-presents The X Factor spinoff show The Xtra Factor on ITV2 but says music will always come first.

"I like working on The Xtra Factor and it's been going well but it hasn't inspired me to do more presenting," Olly told The Sun this week. "There was no way I was ever going to let the music suffer."

Olly took a break from presenting during The X Factor live results show on Sunday (27th November) to perform his new single 'Dance With Me Tonight', and his second album 'In Case You Didn't Know' was also released this week.

"I've tried to be different with genres this time," he explained. "Some songs are reggae-inflienced, others Motown, indie, street urban. Everything has a different vibe. I'm excited to see what the fans think of it."

Olly credits co-presenter Caroline Flack and The X Factor host Dermot O'Leary with helping him cope in his new role.

He added: "I couldn’t have two better presenters around. I've learnt from them and put my own stamp on the show."
