The 'Super Bass' rapper's latest video release will not be aired on BET because of its "explicit" content.

Nicki Minaj's music video for new single 'Stupid Hoe' has reportedly been banned by US network BET.

According to TMZ, the station are refusing to air the 'Stupid Hoe' video because it is "just too explicit for TV".

The music video sees Nicki doning a variety of wigs and brightly-coloured outfits while dancing in a cage next to several wil animals.

A source close to BET claims repetition of the phrase "you a stupid hoe, you a you a stupid hoe" throughout the song was one of the main reasons for the video's ban.

The 'Super Bass' rapper is expected to appear at the Superbowl in America this Sunday (5th February) for a performance with Madonna and M.I.A of the former's new single 'Give Me All Your Luvin''.

Nicki Minaj released 'Stupid Hoe' as the second promotional track from her new album 'Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded', which is due for release on 3st April.
