The 'Starships' rapper reveals that tensions have eased between the artists after their public fall out on set.

Nicki Minaj has confessed that she and Mariah Carey are now "fine" following their recent American Idol fight.

The 'Fly' star was filmed launching a foul-mouthed tirade at her fellow judge on the music reality series back during auditions in North Charlotte last month.

Speaking about the incident during her new reality TV series, the singer admitted that she felt Mariah had "met her match".

However, asked how relations were currently between the pair by MTV this week, she admitted everything is back to normal.

"We've been fine," she said.

Nicki also admitted that the whole experience has been "interesting" as she gets accustomed to a regular schedule.

"It's been a new experience for me. And it's just been interesting for me to have a 9 to 5 job," she said. "I haven't done that in such a long time. I haven't had to come somewhere and do a specific thing. I've been kind of creating my own schedule for the last few years, so it's interesting, but I love the people there, so that makes it OK."

The new season of American Idol will air in the US in January 2013 and there have been rumours the pair will open the series with a collaborative performance.

Meanwhile, Nicki is preparing to unveil the official music video for her new song 'Freedom'.
