The two stars join a growing bill also including the likes of Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Kanye West.
Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke are the latest performers to be announced for the MTV Video Music Awards 2013.
Both 'We Can't Stop' singer Miley and 'Blurred Lines' star Robin will be performing live at the prestigious awards show later this month, fresh from their respective chart successes over the year so far.
Miley has scored a huge hit with the lead single 'We Can't Stop' from her upcoming solo album 'Bangerz', which is set to feature collaborations with the likes of Big Sean and Ludacris.
US singer-songwriter Robin Thicke has also had a successful showing in 2013 with 'Blurred Lines' hitting number one on charts across the world, as well as sparking controversy with the song's popular music video.
The two artists join a growing line-up for this year's VMAs including Kanye West, Lady Gaga and newly confirmed performer Katy Perry, who unveiled a special advert for her performance earlier this week.

The MTV Video Music Awards 2013 is set to take place, for the first time, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York City on Sunday 25th August.
