The 'Marry The Night' singer tells the audience how she feels the drug's leaf symbol is the "new peace sign".
Lady Gaga has caused controversy following her 'Born This Way Ball' tour show in Amsterdam this week after she was seen smoking marijuana live on stage.
The 'Bad Romance' singer addressed the crowd after she received the drug from an audience member and revealed that it had helped her cut down on drinking and has been a "spiritual experience" with her music.
"I want you to know it has totally changed my life and I've really cut down on drinking," she declared. "It has been a totally spiritual experience for me with my music."
She continued: "It's like saying everybody needs to take a breath and it's going to be OK."
She also spoke about how she feels the drug's leaf symbol is "the new peace sign" and thanked her fans for always sticking by her side.
"I will be one day meeting with the President and talking to Oprah and the next day I will be talking to you about the medical wonders of marijuana," she joked.
The 'You & I' singer was performing at the Ziggo Dome in the Dutch city at the time and recently completed the UK leg of her latest tour with shows in Twickenham and Manchester.
Meanwhile, the singer was recently spotted in the UK attending London Fashion Week and opened a special Michael Jackson themed show at the event.
