Jason Derulo To Make Live Comeback Following Neck Injury On American Idol Final

The 'In My Head' star has promised "hardcore dancing" in the season ending show.

Jason Derulo has revealed that he will be making his live return to the stage at the season finale of American Idol.

The 'Fight For You' singer was forced to cancel his worldwide tour after fracturing his neck during rehersals for the shows. 

He told Seventeen magazine that he was "nervous" but promised fans the upcoming performance will be typically high energy. 

He confessed: "I'm excited, but I'm a little nervous, too. I haven't moved my neck in over three months.

"I'll be ready for it! Starting in two weeks, I'll begin rehearsals for the show, finish recording my album, and record the winning lines from Perfect Harmony. I’ll be focusing on those three things. Rehearsals are eight hours a day," he said, adding: "There will also be a lot of hardcore dancing."

Jason has asked fans to finish writing the lyrics to new song 'Undefeated' as part of a new competition in partnership with Coca-Cola adnt he reality show and will perform the song at the show on 22nd May.

The singer has already previously confirmed that he will be heading out on a new world tour later this year to coincide with the release of a new album which he is currently working on.
