The 'Lego House' singer will be performing as part of the Forestry Comissions series of live shows.
Ed Sheeran is set to play a live show Thetford Forest as part of Forestry Comission's Live Music set of shows.
The 'You Need Me, I Don't Need You' star will be performing in his home county of Suffolk on 12th July and is excited to be taking part in such a unique gig.
He said: "I am delighted to confirm this gig as my only East Anglian date in 2012. It will be a forest first for me and I can't wait to get on stage amongst the trees and perform in such a unique place."
Other performers at the series of shows include Plan B, Will Young and The Darkness.
Meanwhile, Ed has also been announced to perform at this year's BRIT Awards 2012 nominations ceremony at the Savoy Hotel in London this Thursday (12th January).
Tickets for Ed Sheeran's live show at Thetford Forest go on sale at 9am on Friday 13th January.
