Beyonce's Mum Tina Knowles Says Blue Ivy Is "Beautiful" And "Doing Great"

The '4' singer's mother says she loves being a grandmother to Beyonce and Jay-Z's newborn child.

Beyonce's mother Tina Knowles says the 'Love On Top' singer's newborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter is "doing great".

The 'Countdown' star gave birth to her first child with husband Jay-Z at the start of January, and second-time grandmother Tina says she is loving her new responsibilities.

"She's doing great," Tina Knowles told People this week. "She's beautiful. It's the second best job I've ever had.

When asked which parent Blue Ivy resembles the most Tina simply said, "She's only a month old. So we have to give her a minute."

Tina is already a grandparent to Beyonce's sister Solange's seven year-old son Daniel.

Beyonce made her first public appearance this week since giving birth, when she stepped out at Carnegie Hall for Jay-Z's two-night stint performing at the News York venue.
