Beyonce was pictured for the first time since she gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy Carter last night (6th February).

The Destiny's Child singer was out in New York to celebrate her husband and rapper Jay-Z's show at Carnegie Hall in benefit of the United Way of New York City and the Shawn Carter Scholarship Foundation.

The star looked glamorous in the figure hugging red dress and a pair of equally elegant sparkly high heels.

She was seen carrying a gold purse and wore a beaming smile as she proudly stepped out a month after giving birth to her first child.

Jay-Z performed his track 'Glory' at the event – which is a dedication to his and the 'Countdown' singer's daughter.

Meanwhile, the star has been tipped as one of the favourites to replace axed X Factor USA judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger alongside Mariah Carey.
