Cardiff City Celebrations
It's a long Bank Holiday weekend...Weather forecasters are promising good weather...So join Capital to celebrate the Cardiff City FC promotion.
On Sunday, thousands will line the streets to celebrate the Cardiff City FC promotion as Malky Mackay and his Cardiff City squad embark on an open top double decker bus victory parade.
The route will begin at Cardiff Castle between 5.45pm and 6.15pm. The open top double decker bus carrying the team with the Football League trophy in hand will then travel down St. Mary's Street, passing Mill Lane corner before greeting crowds down Callaghan Square and Lloyd George Avenue on its route to Cardiff Bay.
The Capital Street Stars will be in the thick of the action along the route snapping all the proud fans and Geraint from the new Capital Weekend Breakfast Show will be capturing the electric atmosphere so make sure you keep it Capital.
The party will continue into the evening with a reception at the Senedd between 7pm and 7.45pm followed by a celebration on stage at Roald Dahl Plass. A giant firework display will light the skies of Cardiff Bay to round off the evening of celebrations.
