A new Greta Thunberg hotline sketch is going viral and Greta approves.
Environmental activist Greta Thunberg just called out her haters using ABC Australia's viral Greta Thunberg helpline video.
Earlier this week, (Sep 23) Greta Thunberg gave a brilliant speech at the United Nations about climate change and the ways in which politicians are failing younger generations and the world at large. She said: "You are failing us but the young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you. And if you choose to fail us I say we will never forgive you. We will not let you get away with this. Right here, right now is where we draw the line."

The speech was met with widespread praise but there was backlash from adults who are still unwilling to admit that global warming is real. Now, Greta's put her haters in their place with a little help from the 'Greta Thunberg hotline'.
Shortly after Greta made her speech on Monday, ABC Australia's current affairs show 7.30 released a hilarious sketch taking the piss out of all the grown adults taking issue with Greta simply asking that politicians acknowledge that global warming is happening and work to stop it. The sketch stars comedian Mark Humphries introducing 'The Greta Thunberg Helpline' for "adults angry at a child".
The video then goes on to explain: "If you're a grown adult who needs to yell at a child for some reason the Greta Thunberg Helpline is here to tolerate you."
The sketch cleverly points out how ridiculous it is that adults are mad at Greta. Noticing the video, Greta retweeted it yesterday (Sep 26) with the comment: "Hang in there! Help is available." The video currently has 9.8 million views.

This isn't the first time Greta has responded to her detractors either. On Wednesday (Sep 25), she took to Instagram to write: "Here we go again... As you may have noticed, the haters are as active as ever - going after me, my looks, my clothes, my behaviour and my differences. They come up with every thinkable lie and conspiracy theory. It seems they will cross every possible line to avert the focus, since they are so desperate not to talk about the climate and ecological crisis."
Greta then went on to add: "Being different is not an illness and the current, best available science is not opinions - it’s facts. I honestly don’t understand why adults would choose to spend their time mocking and threatening teenagers and children for promoting science, when they could do something good instead. I guess they must simply feel so threatened by us."
She ended the post writing: "But the world is waking up. See you in the streets this Friday!"
