In case you missed it, Sophia Grace Brownlee – who found internet fame after performing Nicki Minaj's 'Super Bass' on The Ellen Show with her cousin Rosie – is having a baby! (Yes, we really are that old, apparently!)

The 19-year-old shared the happy news in a video on her YouTube channel over the weekend (Oct 22), adding that she is 21 weeks along in her pregnancy and really, really happy about the whole thing.

Speaking in the video, Sophia Grace said that she expected that a lot of her fans would be shocked at the news, and that she would be deleting and blocking any negative comments that pop up under her video.

Now the social media star is responding to criticism that she is "too young" to be having a baby.

In an interview with E! News, Sophia said: "I feel like 19 is quite young, obviously, to have a baby. Usually most people are like, ‘You should have babies when you're 30 and you're married and you live in your own house,' which is completely fine. But obviously everyone's gonna have their different opinions."

"I just feel it's about the person themselves," Sophia continued. "And as long as you feel ready and it's something that you're happy about, then it's really no one else's problem."

Sophia added that she's also received plenty of comments from people who have shared their own experiences about becoming a parent at a young age: "It really makes me feel happy when I see other girls comment that. It really, really makes me so more confident."

Speaking about how she's feeling about the whole thing, Sophia said: "At the start I was feeling a bit sort of overwhelmed. And you think about like, ‘How am I going to know how to do this? How am I going to learn how to carry the baby properly?' It's kind of scary.

"It's a human, but I feel like it will just come naturally once I have the baby," she said. "My family and friends are so supportive. I'm sure that I will help so much. So I feel really confident about it now."

Sophia has yet to share any photos with her longtime partner because she's keen to keep her private life to herself, but has said that he might pop up in her future videos "when he's confident enough to be in them".
