Kim Kardashian addresses backlash to her flame outfit in The Kardashians episode 7
"The tea is, this is one of the outfits [Kanye] styled and picked out... If we were together, you guys would think it was the coolest outfit in the world."
Kim Kardashian has HAD it – officially! – with the memes and comments about that flame outfit that she got roasted for earlier this year.
In Hulu's The Kardashians series, Kim has opened up about finding herself in the fashion world without the influence of ex-husband Kanye West, who previously used to pick out her clothes and style her.
Kim's newfound fashion independence has seen her try different looks, vibes, silhouettes and everything in between. But people have been very quick to roast Kim when she steps out in a self-styled outfit they don't think is up to 'Kanye's standards'. (Kanye himself previously told Kim she looked like Marge Simpson after she wore an outfit he didn't style.)
Now, Kim has ripped into those critics in a hilarious rant that appears after the credits in the latest episode of The Kardashians. After being dragged on social media over an outfit, Kim has revealed that Kanye was the one who actually styled it.

In the episode, fans see Kim arrive at lunch with Kourtney and Khloe dressed in head-to-toe (literally) in a red and black flame outfit. Kourtney immediately compliments Kim's look, calling it a "fab outfit", while Khloe says, "Oh my god."
That scene was filmed back in April 2022, and after snaps of Kim made their way around the internet, the star was absolutely roasted by people on social media.
People compared her to celebrity chef Guy Fieri, who famously has a penchant for flame-print shirts. Others said she looked like Elastigirl from The Incredibles. One person even tweeted: "A grown woman looking like a flaming hot Cheetos bag."
In and amongst those memes and criticisms about her outfit were also hundreds of comments asking if Kanye was still available to be her stylist, to 'approve' her looks, and give her and her style team the "help" they "desperately" needed.
Well, it's been 7 months, The Kardashians' TV timeline has now caught up to those events and Kim is addressing those shady comments head on.
In a post-credit scene, Kim speaks directly to the camera, referencing the way the internet "destroyed" her after she stepped out wearing the bold outfit.
"Let me just say one thing about this flame outfit that everyone wants to talk about, and on the internet destroyed me and was like, 'Haha, this is what she gets, you know, not being with Kanye. Finally one look she dresses herself. The Kanye outfits must have ran out...'" Kim said.
She continued: "The tea is, this is one of the outfits he styled and picked out. So if you guys knew that, and if we were together, you guys would think it was the coolest outfit in the world."
Ending her rant, Kim added: "Everyone is so f*cking fickle!" Off camera, a producer then asks Kim if "that can be in the credits" and Kim replies, "absolutely!"
So there you have it. It was a Kanye "approved" outfit. And we can now all move on with our lives.
