Sarah Paulson, Kesha and more celebrities "take responsibility" in Black Lives Matter video
Sarah Paulson, Aaron Paul, Kesha, Bethany Joy Lenz, Kristen Bell, Mark Duplass, Bryce Dallas Howard, Julianne Moore, Ilana Glazer, Aly Raisman, Piper Perabo, Stanley Tucci, Debra Messing and Justin Theroux all teamed up in response to racism.
American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson, singer Kesha and a host of other famous faces are being dragged after teaming up for a video to take responsibility for their part in racism.
George Floyd's death and the worldwide Black Lives Matter protests that followed has seen celebrities like Kylie Jenner, Skai Jackson and Halsey speak out against racism and police brutality, giving donations to charities supporting the Black community, and even marching in protests themselves.

However, in a special show of solidarity, a number of A-listers partnered with I Take Responsibility, a new organisation with links to NAACP, to get white people to take a stand against racism.
And what would a celeb partnership be without a "cringeworthy" montage video to go with it, right? Sarah Paulson, Aaron Paul, Kesha, Bethany Joy Lenz, Kristen Bell, Mark Duplass, Bryce Dallas Howard, Julianne Moore, Ilana Glazer, Aly Raisman, Piper Perabo, Stanley Tucci, Debra Messing and Justin Theroux all teamed up to "take responsibility" for ways they’ve perpetuated racism and declare their pledge to fight for the rights of oppressed people.
If you'll remember, back in March, Gal Gadot rounded up her celebrity pals and treated us to an, erm, compelling video of them all taking it in turns to sing 'Imagine' by John Lennon to lift our spirits during the coronavirus pandemic. Yeah, can't say that worked…
In the latest celeb video, Sarah kicks off proceedings (shot in black and white for extra ~ drama) whilst sombre piano music plays in the background. One by one, each famous face takes responsibility for their actions. They also mention victims of police brutality and hate crimes (but not by name) and then vow to take action and "stand against hate". Racism, solved.
Alas, once the footage hit the internet it didn't quite have the desired effect.
regret to inform you the celebs are at it again pic.twitter.com/pfORBiqvrX

I want an oral history of one of these celebrity videos. Who organizes? Do they text people they know? Do they contact reps? Who said no in a polite way? Who texted another celeb involved like, “girl, I guess”?

Can y'all take responsibility instead of these performance pieces?

Celebrities keep redefining what cringe means! This time it's black and white, so you know they're super cereal. pic.twitter.com/OC1uBSkhCD
