Dating is hard, but this kid has it down to a fine art.
Do you remember your first date? Remember how scared you were, the sweaty palms, the not knowing what to wear?
Imagine all of that at 5 years old.
One young boy was determined to have a date with his ‘best friend in the whole world’.
Yep, Freddie Gibson from Christchurch asked his parents what a ‘date’ was and when they explained it to him, he said that he would like to take his best friend, Dee Dee for a meal.
Freddie proceeded to charm Dee Dee by sending her an invitation in the post (the old school methods are still the best, FYI) asking if she’d accompany him once she had turned five.
His parents still don’t know why she had to be five years old, but it’s a guys prerogative and all that.
Freddie saved up all his birthday money to pay for the meal and even bought a new wallet to keep the money safe.
TOO MUCH CUTENESS, WE CAN’T EVEN HANDLE.
Nina Gibson, Freddie’s Mum, taught Freddie that he had to look after his date, make sure she was happy and to help each other read the menu. Freddie said that he wanted to give her flowers and so his Mum arranged for a mini bouquet to be delivered.
But just wait until you hear what Freddie said about his date…
“Dee Dee is my best friend in the whole world and I loved our date. I'd like to take Dee Dee on another date because she's beautiful.
OMG. WE’RE DONE. WE JUST CAN’T COPE ANYMORE.
But, what did Dee Dee think about all this?
“I really enjoyed going on a date with Freddie - especially the hearts on our ice cream!”
YES! SUCCESS!
Dee Dee’s Mum, Katy even said that wedding bells could be chiming soon; “Dee Dee has even picked out her wedding dress from the local boutique!”.
BRB, just going to buy a wedding hat for the big day.
