Taylor Swift Has "The Most Amazing Week" After New Single Tops The Chart In America

The singer's new single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" has been a huge success the past week.

Taylor Swift has described the past seven days as the "most amazing week" of her life after scoring her first number one on the US Billboard Chart Hot 100 chart.

The 22 year-old singer reached the top of the US charts this week with her brand new single 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together', which joined the Capital FM playlist last week, which is expected to chart highly across the world over the next week.

"#1 on Billboard's Hot 100!!?! This has been the most amazing week," Taylor tweeted after hearing about the number one. "I can't believe how incredible you guys are (Jumping up and down).

"I love you guys," Taylor added last night (23rd August). "This is the best week of all time."

Taylor also tweeted out to her fans while shooting a commercial to show off her chart position in a Twitter picture alongside the message: "At a commercial shoot. And I realise this is STILl happening?!?!?!"

It was confirmed this month that Taylor will join the likes of Green Day, One Direction and Pink on the performance line-up for this year's MTV Video Music Awards, which take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on 6th September.

Taylor Swift is set to release her brand new album 'Red' on 22nd October.
