The US singer-songwriter explores a "toxic" relationship in her gritty new music video.
Taylor Swift shows off her punk side in the newly unveiled music video for her latest single 'I Knew You Were Trouble'.
The 'Begin Again' singer premiered her new music video late yesterday (13th December) to tie in with her 23rd birthday, and is seen looking back on an "epic" but "toxic" relationship seen through flashbacks in the promo.
Taylor opens the video for 'I Knew You Were Trouble' with a monologue about the effect the relationship has had on her, while stood in a party-ravaged desert.
"I think when it's all over it just comes back in flashes, you know?" the US star is heard saying in a monologue during the video's opening. "It just all comes back. But he never does."
The new music video stars Taylor opposite US actor Reeve Carney, and the two are seen engaging in a passionate romance in flashbacks throughout the promo, before he breaks her heart near the video's conclusion.
