Taylor Swift and Kanye West's beef has resurfaced following a leaked phone call between him, wife Kim Kardashian and the singer, in which she expresses her concern about some of the lyrics he'd planned use about her in his 2016 song 'Famous'.
If you've been on social media this weekend (of course you have, we've seen you endlessly scrolling, we're all stuck inside), you will have seen the ongoing beef between Taylor Swift and Kanye West resurface for what may possibly be the 15th time.

It all kicked off way back in 2009, when the 'Lover' singer won Best Female Video at the VMAs, and Mr Problematic West decided it was the perfect moment to hop on stage during her speech, grab the mic and discredit her work - famously known for the line: "Yo, Taylor, I'm really happy for you. I'mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!"
The pair squashed the beef in the years following, until the release of Kanye's song 'Famous' in 2016, in which he calls her a "bitch". The song also includes the line "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex" before he says that he made her into the star she was because of that awkward awards speech moment.
West claimed that Taylor had approved those lyrics about her and the world quickly turned against her, but over the weekend, a leaked phone call surfaced between the two, where you can hear the 30 year old's hesitation about the context of the song.
Basically, the whole phone call leaked, revealing Taylor Swift never consented to being called “that bitch.”

In the leaked call, Taylor can be heard saying that she "needed to think about" some of the lyrics he was planning on using about her, and that she was worried they were "going to be mean" or people would try to "make it negative" - contrary to the statement Kanye released saying Taylor was totally happy and approved everything he wanted to say.
While Kanye nor fellow major player in the drama Kim Kardashian have made statements about the footage surfacing, it seems Taylor is secretly enjoying regaining her power, by quietly liking fan posts on Tumblr celebrating that she was telling the truth the entire time.
The singer favourited a "Taylor told the truth" mood board, along with a lengthy post exposing the sexism in the "Famous" music video, which contained a wax work of Taylor, along with other celebrities, naked, which she didn't consent to.
Another post hidden among her likes includes a bold "WHO WAS TELLING THE TRUTH THE ENTIRE TIME???", along with one that read "2016 me is not surprised."
