Brand new music from The Weeknd is on the way and the singer may be releasing a song with a very interesting title. Intrigued, some fans are already assuming that the song could be about Selena Gomez. The two briefly dated in 2017 and his song, 'Call Out My Name' is widely rumoured to be about her.
While The Weeknd has not commented on the 'Like Selena' song title rumours, he is letting fans know that a huge drop is imminent. "The fall starts tomorrow night," he wrote on Monday (25 November), hinting that new music will drop on Tuesday (26 November).
As if The Weeknd wasn't being cryptic enough with his Instagram post, he also posted a photo of a Starboy (2016) CD cover on his Instagram stories. Could that mean a studio album announcement could be on the way, too?
To be honest, we're not 100% convinced of the on-the-nose 'Like Selena' song title. It may be a placeholder and, for all we know, Abel could be gearing up to drop a falsetto bop about Selena Quintanilla. WHO KNOWS?!
Selena has been climbing charts, herself, in the last few weeks with her two new releases 'Lose You To Love Me' and 'Look At Her Now'– both about finding yourself after past relationships.
