The 'Best Song Ever' star says he hopes the band can do "something" at the show this weekend.
One Direction star Niall Horan has hinted that the band could still perform at the MTV Video Music Awards 2013 this weekend.
The 'Little Things' singer says the group can't wait to attend and present an award at the MTV music industry showcase on Sunday (25th August).
The band are also up for an award at the show after their song 'Best Song Ever' was nominated for Best Song Of The Summer.
"Yes! A bit of VMAs action! Last year was unbelievable," One Direction star Niall revealed to Capital FM recently. "We're in the room with some of the biggest stars in the planet.
"Hopefully we can do something there next week," the 'Live While We're Young' singer teased.

One Direction are set to launch their new film This Is Us 3D in the UK on 30th August, fresh from the world premiere earlier this week.
The MTV Video Music Awards 2013 takes place this Sunday (25th August) at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York with performances confirmed from Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Robin Thicke.
