The' One Thing' star admits the couple are simply "really good friends" despite recent reports.
One Direction singer Niall Horan has denied that he is romantically involved with The X Factor USA judge Demi Lovato.
The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer sparked rumours that he had been seeing the Disney star when he revealed that he has enjoyed some dates over Skype earlier this year.
"Me and Demi, we're just really good friends," he told Ryan Seacrest.
He continued: "She's been doing well. She's been updating me on what she's been doing and stuff, and hopefully I will get to see her next week when we come to LA for the VMAs."
The Irish star revealed that he is yet to even meet the star in person and is excited for the meeting.
"We actually haven't met yet, but hopefully I'll get to see her next week," he admitted.
The singer also opened up on the band's new album title 'Take Me Home', revealing that the decision came from their time away from the UK.
The group announced details of their new record this week including the cover artwork and release date.
One Direction will perform at the MTV Video Music Awards 2012 next week and in the UK at the iTunes Festival on 20th September.
