The band admit they have proved popular with the older women during their recent US tour.
One Direction have admitted that their fans' mothers are often more difficult to cope with than them.
The group said they were having difficulties fending off the "fearless" mums during their current US tour.
Liam Payne said: "They will grab and pinch and it gets quite tricky."
Zayn Malik said that the mums often "suggest things", while Harry Styles apparently told The Sun that he wasn't concerned by their advances.
He said: "I would not have a problem as long as they were nice and made me smile."
One Direction are currently performing on their first ever headline tour in the US following the success of their number one debut album 'Up All Night'.
The group are set to return to the UK later this year to perform at the iTunes festival in London.
Harry, Liam, Zayne, Louis Tomlinson and Niall Horan are also scheduled to embark on a massive UK arena tour in 2013.
