The 'What Makes You Beautiful' stars were greeted by hundreds of fans upon their return to the UK last night.

One Direction were mobbed at Heathrow airport last night (15th May) as they arrived back from Sweden where they have been working on their new studio album.

The 'One Thing' stars' taxi was also immediately surrounded by the hoards of screaming fans wanting to get a glimpse of the BRIT Award winning outfit.

Singer Harry Styles was dressed casually in a dark jumper, boots and a beanie hat with band mate Liam rocking a grey hooded jacket as he took a ride on a luggage cart.

The group have been teasing their fans with talk of new material and admitted they can't wait for everyone to hear what they have been working on during their Swedish sessions.

Meanwhile, Harry, Niall, Zayn, Liam and Louis have been announced as one of the headline acts at this year's iTunes Festival which will also see the likes of R&B star Usher performing.
