The 'One Thing' stars are appealing to their fans to help them overtake Justin Bieber and Nicki Minaj.

One Direction have asked for their fans' help to try and break the most views in 24 hours record on VEVO with their latest music video for new single 'Kiss You'.

The former X Factor stars released the promo to their new track last night and have now called on their followers to dethrone Justin Bieber – who currently holds the record on the music sharing site with 'Beauty And A Beat'.

The Canadian star lost his record last year to One Direction's 'Live While We're Young', but reclaimed it back in October with the surprise release of his Nicki Minaj collaboration.

Singer Niall Horan took to his Twitter account to ask what the band's fans thought and issued a call for help.

"it was soo much fun to make , the best one yet! Let's see can we beat the 24 hour record for most views," he wrote.

Harry Styles is also rumoured to have split up with girlfriend Taylor Swift today, following reports the pair had a massive argument during their Caribbean holiday.
