One Direction And Harry Styles Win Two Gongs At The NME Awards 2013

The 'Little Things' stars won Worst Band for the second year running.

One Direction and Harry Styles were honoured at the NME Awards 2013 last night (27th February0 with unenviable wins for Worst Band and Villain Of The Year.

The 'Live While We're Young' singers beat the likes of Muse, Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber to pick up the gong for Worst Band for the second year in a row at the awards show at the Troxy In London.

One Direction singer Harry Styles also won Villain Of The Year over controversial stars like Skrillex, Fred Macpherson, Azealia Banks, PSY and UK Prime Minister David Cameron.

After hearing about his nomination Harry joked that he would take the "rough with the smooth", but didn't know what he had done to earn the title.

Among other winners on the night were The Rolling Stones winning both Best Live Band and Best Music Film, with Ronnie Wood accepting the gongs in person, Biffy Clryo winning Best British Band and The Maccabees winning Best Album.

Florence and the Machine also won the away for Best Solo Artist, while her Calvin Harris team-up 'Sweet Nothing' won best dance number.

One Direction performing live in Glasgow last night (27th February), the latest night of their 'Take Me Home' UK tour, and continue their tour in Cardiff on 1st March.
