The 'One Thing' star admits he can "probably" learn from the erotic novel after being handed a copy from a friend.

One Direction singer Harry Styles has revealed that he thinks the popular adult novel Fifty Shades Of Grey is "educational" and an "interesting read".

The 'What Makes You Beautiful' singer was forced to read an extract from the book to his friends and admitted he could "probably learn" from the publication.

"I haven't bought it, but a female friend of mine was forcing me to read it out to her the other day," he told The Sun. "They were like, 'Just borrow this,' and I was like, 'Hmmm'."

He continued: "It seems interesting. I could probably learn from it, I don't know. I feel like it's an educational and interesting read."

The boy band star also opened up on his personal life to reveal that he doesn't liked to be thought of as a "womanizer" and that his media portrayal is false.

"I'm not quite as I'm made out to be. I have friends who are girls and sometimes even if I give them a lift home I’m 'dating them', or whatever," he confessed. "It's fine, I have a lot of fun."

He added: "I think that's important. You don't want to look back with any regrets, but at the same time if I met someone who I got on with and I liked then who knows?"

The teen star also admitted that he doesn't like naming the people he fancies and will never speak about who he has dated.

"I don’t really want to say the names of people I might like — it wouldn’t be right," he said. "I know a lot of people are up for sitting down and going through who they have slept with.

"I know sometimes it might come across in the paper that I’m a bit like that, but I’m really not."

Since splitting from Caroline Flack, the singer has been linked to a host of female stars including Made In Chelsea's Caggie Dunlop, Cara Delevingne and more recently Natalie Imbruglia.

Meanwhile, Harry and his One Direction band mates are celebrating hitting the number one spot on the Vodafone Big Top 40 this week with new single 'Live While We're Young'.
